Shape the Future of Moving Goods.
Build the Next Big Thing.

At Uplift Ventures, we combine venture building and venture capital under one roof. With a growing portfolio of internal ventures, direct investments, and strategic fund commitments, we are driving innovation beyond the core business. As Finance Manager, you will play a key role in building and leading our financial backbone — ensuring transparency, governance, and strategic insight across all our activities.

What you’ll do

  • Lead Financial Management & Controlling by managing accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and annual reporting for both Uplift Ventures GmbH and our CVC fund. Ensure compliance with Jungheinrich standards and drive cost control and cash flow management across all ventures.

  • Own Fund Administration & Portfolio Reporting by coordinating fund accounting, capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting. Lead quarterly portfolio valuations and performance reviews, and prepare in-depth analyses of individual portfolio companies.

  • Be a Strategic Business Partner by collaborating with venture teams and investment managers to provide financial transparency and decision support. Contribute to valuation models, investment tracking, and performance metrics.

  • Ensure Governance & Group Alignment by acting as the financial interface between Uplift Ventures and Jungheinrich Group Finance. Safeguard compliance with group policies, internal control frameworks and monthly reportings.

What you bring

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in finance or controlling, ideally in venture capital, private equity, or startup environments

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in portfolio valuation and fund reporting

  • Familiarity with IFRS and fund accounting principles

  • Hands-on, structured, and proactive mindset

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit

  • A smiling, extroverted personality who enjoys engaging with diverse stakeholders — from founders to board members

  • Curiosity and interest in technology and innovation

  • Fluent in English and German

What we offer

  • A unique opportunity to shape Jungheinrich’s innovation future

  • Work at the intersection of corporate finance, venture capital, and startups

  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial, and purpose-driven environment

  • Direct exposure to strategic decision-making in venture capital and building

  • Office in Hamburg with flexible working arrangements
