Uplift Ventures builds and backs the next generation of category-defining deep tech companies in Physical AI, Energy, Enterprise AI and Logistics. We build new ventures, invest in founders and funds, and bring startups into Jungheinrich as suppliers.
Every new venture, investment and startup partnership brings more tasks, decisions and people to coordinate. We want to keep growing without losing the speed and clarity of a small team, and that depends on how well Uplift runs as a company. This role is about exactly that. You work side by side with our leadership team, set up how we plan, decide and work together, and make sure Uplift is ready for its next stage.
What you’ll do
Your work covers four areas that belong together.
Keep Uplift on course: You run the rhythm that keeps the company aligned, from team meetings to Venture Boards and Investment Committees and from management reporting to OKR reviews. You keep the year ahead in view, including board dates, reporting deadlines, planning cycles and events, start preparation early and make sure decisions turn into action.
Build how Uplift works: You look critically at how we work today and build processes that still work when the team is growing. You develop our company guidelines, build our workspace across tools and use AI and automation to take manual work off everyone. Where specialist skills are needed, you bring in freelancers and steer them.
Bring the team together: You create team events, offsites and development formats that make people want to work here and help them work well together.
Special projects and external presence: You own strategic tasks that do not belong to a single team, from the first scope to the final result. You develop presentations and keynotes for events, keep our website and brand consistent and represent Uplift in the ecosystem.
In your first months you get to know every part of Uplift, take over our planning and meeting rhythm and run the cycle. After that you take on further strategic tasks and become a real sparring partner for our leadership team.
You will:
Think ahead, keep schedules and commitments in view and act before things get urgent
Pick up what is stuck or has no owner and get it moving
Work across Building, Clienting and Capital and connect the people who should be talking to each other
Turn open questions into clear proposals and see them through to the end
Build scalable processes and AI supported workflows the whole team relies on every day
Take care of whatever Uplift needs, whether that is a board deck or a team offsite
This role is for you if
You have experience in fast moving environments or startups in a Founders Associate, project management, operations or similar role, and you have worked closely with founders or senior leadership
You are completely reliable. When you say something is done, it is done properly, and you don’t need anyone to tell you what comes next.
You work well with very different people, from founders and investors to Jungheinrich stakeholders, and you make the people around you more effective.
You set a high bar for your own work, you learn fast and you want to help build a company that grows.
You say what you think, challenge ideas where it matters, including ours, and try new tools and ways of working before they become standard. You handle confidential topics with discretion.
You plan ahead, keep many moving parts in view and bring structure to situations that are still unclear
You are hands-on, and you give a team event the same care as a board presentation
You write and present clearly and use AI and automation to make your own work or a team’s work noticeably better
Bonus:
Experience in venture building, venture capital or corporate venturing
Hands-on experience building workflows and automations in Notion, Make, Zapier or similar tools
Experience in communication, brand or events
Interest in deep tech and industrial companies
Languages: Fluent in German and English.
